My Hair is Falling Out!
From my understanding from the web and my doctors that when I got sick in February, I also got Toxic Shock Syndrom. One of the many fall outs from this is your hair falling out and you fingernail and toe nails coming off, yeah for me! These symptoms don't present until about 2 to 4 months after. I have noticed for the last month, while taking a shower (I know, you didn't need this mental picture) that my hair has been coming out in handfulls. So, needless to say, I will probably be bald in the next month or so. The hair will grow back, but come on, I don't want to be bald. On the up-side Randy said I should go but a blonde, brunette and red-head wig so that it will be like a new woman each day. He's just trying to make me feel better, but how can you feel better about your hair falling out. I guess I should start investing in really funky scarves. So when I get back to Oregon I probably won't have hair, yeah for all of you. Maybe I should have a buy Laura scarves party? What do you think?

*Love* the buy Laura scarves party. I also love the idea of all the wigs. (Remind him though that you will only invest in good quality wigs) You could try (with the wigs) different hairstyles, lengths - whatever.
Anyway, I'm so sorry you're losing your hair! (You could always blame it on Lena....) And, I'm a wee bit afraid to ask: how are the nails?
So far so good on the nails, but the web site said the hair and nails thing can start anywhere from 2 to 4 months after. I have an appointment with a dermatologist today to see if she can do anything. My little toenail is turning black, so I don't know if that is the start. I will let you know.
Maybe you could just go goth and paint all your nails black, don a black wig, put on some black lipstick (don't forget heavy black eyeliner) and oooh, maybe one of those spike collars around your neck. Mmmm...the last bit might frighten Lena a wee bit!
